The Problem: Over the past decades we have significantly improved the ability for severely injured burn patients to survive their injuries. Unfortunately, so many are left with devastating physical and emotional sequelae.

Of particular concern is the fact that here in the U.S. as well as in much of the world, there is a great shortage of burn reconstructive specialists. Few are formally trained to handle the complex reconstructive requirements that result from these life altering injuries.

The reality is that many patients often struggle throughout their life without the opportunity to have optimal and often appropriate and necessary reconstructive care.
